Abstract

ABSTRAK Anggastuti, N.N.T., 2018. Pengaruh Pemberian Jus Kulit Apel Rome Beauty Terhadap Gambaran Histologi Jumlah Sel Hati Yang Nekrosis (Studi Eksperimen Pada Tikus Putih (Rattus novergicus) Yang Mengalami Hiperkolesterolemia). Tugas Akhir, Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter, Fakultas Kedokteran, Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Pembimbing: dr. Anna Lewi Santoso, Msi Diet tinggi kolesterol dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada hati berupa sel hati yang nekrosis. Hati merupakan organ yang menjadi lokasi pembentukan kolesterol sekaligus sebagai lokasi untuk eliminasi kolesterol dalam tubuh. Pada kondisi hiperkolesterolemia akan menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan pada sel hati, seperti sinusoid hati yang melebar, sel hati yang mengalami degenerasi sampai dengan nekrosis, serta adanya infiltrasi sel radang pada jaringan interstisial (Wresdiyati, 2006). Apel Rome Beauty merupakan salah satu varian buah apel yang mengandung senyawa antioksidan tinggi yang berguna dalam menurunkan kolesterol darah serta memperbaiki sel yang nekrosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jus kulit apel Rome Beauty dengan terhadap gambaran histologi jumlah sel hati yang nekrosis pada tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) yang mengalami hiperkolesterolemia. Penelitian ini menggunakan 25 tikus yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu satu kelompok sebagai kontrol negative, satu lagi sebagai kelompok pra perlakuan dan tiga kelompok yang mendapat perlakuan. A high-cholesterol diet can cause liver damage in the form of a necrotizing liver cell. The liver is an organ that becomes the location of cholesterol formation as well as the location for the elimination of cholesterol in the body. In hypercholesterolemia conditions will cause damage to liver cells, such as widespread liver sinusoids, degenerated liver cells to necrosis, and infiltration of inflammatory cells in interstitial tissue (Wresdiyati, 2006). Apple Rome Beauty is one variant of apples that contain high antioxidant compounds that are useful in lowering blood cholesterol and repair cells that necrosis. This study aimed to determine the effect of the apple peels juice to the number of the necrotic liver cells in hypercholesterolemic white rats (Rattus novergicus). This study used 25 rats divided into 5 groups, one group as negative control, another as pretreatment group and three treatment groups.
