Key words: Affective factor, EFL classrom, English course This study discusses the affective factors of students in English classes in the course. The main purpose of this research is to find out how the factors that exist in 8th grade English students in the ganesha operation Surabaya course in december 2018. In this study, there were eighteen students as participants consisting of seven boys and eleven girls. A qualitative descriptive is used to describe the results of analysis of data obtained from observations of students during learning and questionnaire sheets filled in by each student. In terms of the results obtained, this study shows that motivation, confidence, anxiety, and fear of making mistakes in English classrooms by students in grade 8th. Students in the class have high motivation, high self-confidence, low anxiety level, and low fear of making mistakes. It made them the learning material in the course is far more enjoyable than in their school.Therefore, learning in the course is better for learning materials, but more topics must be discussed. For students, do not hesitate in participating during learning, because it can improve their English language skills.
