Abstract
Good advertising is very beneficial to consumers, because with consumer ads know information about the desired product or service. In fact, it is not uncommon for lying or misleading advertisements to harm consumers. The purpose of this study is to know the legal protection for consumers who are harmed by misleading advertising. This research is normative by statute approach and conceptual approach. The results of the study indicate that the Consumer Protection Law mandates that consumers should obtain protection by granting the rights of consumers themselves, consumer rights which are the obligations of business actors that are not implemented or the consequences of the ban on the violated business actors may harm consumers. Consumer protection laws are also provided by business actors by carrying out consumer claims that may prove that the perpetrator is guilty and proves that the consumer is harmed.
