Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ English learning through songs on YouTube at SMAK Frateran Surabaya. The study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving students of SMAK Frateran Surabaya. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The findings showed that the use of YouTube songs increased students’ motivation and participation in learning English. In addition, students’ vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening skills improved. The classroom atmosphere also became more enjoyable and interactive. Therefore, songs on YouTube can be used as an effective medium to support English teaching and learning. Keywords: English learning, YouTube songs, motivation, vocabulary, listening skills.
