Abstract
Pertumbuhan kebutuhan transportasi udara yang pesat di Kota Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, mendorong peningkatan kapasitas dan kualitas layanan Bandara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto (APT Pranoto). Seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan transportasi udara di Kota Samarinda dan sebagai penunjang konektivitas menuju Ibu Kota Negara (IKN), Bandara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto (APT Pranoto) perlu dikembangkan, khususnya pada sisi udara (airside). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan pengembangan fasilitas airside selama 10 tahun ke depan hingga tahun 2034, meliputi proyeksi pertumbuhan penumpang dan pesawat, serta perencanaan dimensi dan ketebalan perkerasan Runway, Taxiway, dan apron. Metode yang digunakan meliputi peramalan pertumbuhan penumpang secara Aritmatika dan peramalan pertumbuhan pesawat secara regresi, serta perhitungan teknis berdasarkan standar ICAO dan FAA menggunakan metode manual maupun software FAARFIELD. Hasil menunjukkan perlunya perpanjangan Runway menjadi 2.690 meter dari Runway awal yang hanya sebesar 2.250 meter, Taxiway dibutuhkan lebar sebesar 23 meter, jarak Exit Taxiway dari ujung Runway minimal sebesar 2.200 meter, pengembangan apron sepanjang 120 meter dan selebar 11 meter, serta total tebal perkerasan Runway sebesar 78,8 cm. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan airside sangat diperlukan guna mendukung pelayanan penerbangan domestik dan internasional di masa mendatang. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sisi udara Bandara APT Pranoto merupakan kebutuhan mendesak yang harus segera direalisasikan untuk menunjang layanan penerbangan domestik dan internasional yang andal, aman, dan efisien. Perencanaan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan dalam strategi pembangunan infrastruktur transportasi udara yang terpadu dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi regional serta pengembangan Ibu Kota Negara baru di Kalimantan Timur. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Airside, Runway, Taxiway, Apron The rapid growth in air transportation demand in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan, has become a key driver in the enhancement of capacity and service quality at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto (APT Pranoto) Airport. In addition to serving as a primary gateway for the region, the airport holds strategic importance in supporting connectivity to the new National Capital (IKN) currently under development in the same province. Given this critical role, a comprehensive development of the airport’s airside facilities is essential to ensure the continuity of safe, reliable, and efficient air transport services. This study aims to plan the airside development of APT Pranoto Airport over the next ten years, up to the year 2034. The scope of analysis includes projections of passenger growth and aircraft movements, as well as technical planning of runway, taxiway, and apron dimensions and pavement thickness. The methods employed comprise quantitative forecasting, including arimatic methods for passenger growth, linear regression for aircraft movement projections, and technical analysis based on international standards from ICAO and FAA, both manually and using the FAARFIELD software. The results indicate a need to extend the runway from the existing 2,250 meters to 2,690 meters to accommodate medium to large aircraft operations. The required taxiway width is 23 meters, with a minimum exit taxiway distance of 2,200 meters from the runway threshold to facilitate smooth aircraft movement. Furthermore, the apron needs to be expanded by an additional 120 meters in length and 11 meters in width, and the total pavement thickness of the runway must reach 78.8 cm to support increasing aircraft loads. In conclusion, the development of APT Pranoto Airport’s airside infrastructure is an urgent necessity to meet future domestic and international flight service demands. This planning is expected to serve as a strategic reference in the development of sustainable and integrated air transportation infrastructure, supporting regional economic growth and the development of the new National Capital in East Kalimantan.
