Abstract

This study is entitled Law Enforcement Against Perpetrators of Pornography Crimes with Intent to Take Revenge on Social Media with two research questions, namely How is the legal protection for victims of pornography crimes with intent to take revenge, and How is the mechanism of law enforcement against perpetrators of pornography crimes with intent to seek revenge committed on social media? The aim is to provide an understanding of the protection of victims of pornography with intent to seek revenge in order to provide legal certainty regarding the protection of victims and an understanding of law enforcement against perpetrators of pornography crimes with intent to seek revenge on social media so that this crime does not happen again. For this research method, the author uses normative legal research with a legislative approach. The analysis used by the author is deductive analysis, based on norms, legal principles, and recognized values, using relevant legal sources. The results of the study show that victim protection includes preventive measures (prohibiting the dissemination of intimate content without consent, strengthening digital literacy, the role of service institutions) and repressive measures (reporting, assistance, identity protection, psychological recovery, content removal). Law enforcement through reporting, victim-centered investigations, electronic evidence, examinations to prevent revictimization, and sentencing of perpetrators while considering recovery and restitution. Its implementation is hampered by the anonymity of perpetrators, limited understanding of digital evidence among officials, regulatory disharmony, and social stigma, thus requiring harmonization of regulations, increased capacity of officials, accelerated content removal, and public education.
