Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan pemberiaan anestesi ketamin dan zoletil teradap onset of action(OOA) dan frekuensi respirasi pada kura-kura brazil(trachemys scripta elegans),mengingat banyaknya para pecinta hewan yang memelihara kura-kura hias,sehingga penelitian ini menggunakan kura-kura brazil (trachemys scripta elegans) , sebagai indikator penelitian. Jumlah sampel yang dipakai berjumlah 40 ekor kura-kura brazil (trachemys scripta elegans). Kura- kura diadaptasi selama satu mingu dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok zoletil dan kelompok ketamin, injeksi anestesi pada kura-kura pada kaki depan secara Intramuscular (IM), hitung waktu onset of action (OOA) dan waktu respirasi (awal dan sesudah anestesi). OOA pada injeksi ketamin adalah3,09 menit dan injeksi zoletil adalah 5,02 menit, sedangkan respirasi pada injeksi ketamin yaitu6 kali per menit dan zoletil 6 kali per menit.Berdasarkan hasil statistikonset of action (OOA)dan respirasi antara ketamin dan zoletil setelah dianestesi tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata(p>0,05). Kata Kunci: Kura-kura brazil., Onset Of Action, Respirasi, Ketamin, Zoletil, ABSTRACT This research aimed to know the used of ketamin anesthesia and zoletil anesthesia comparison against the onset of action (OOA) and respiratory frequency Red-Ear Slider(trachemys scripta elegans), given the large number of animal lovers remain decorative turtle, so this time using Red-Ear Slider(trachemys scripta elegans), as an indicator of research. The number of samples used 40 turtle tail Brazil (trachemys scripta elegans). The turtle was adapted for one week and were divided into two groups, group of zoletil and group ofketamin., The anesthesia injection on turtles was done at the humerus via intramuscular (IM), calculated the time of onset of action (OOA) and respiration ( the time of beginning and after). OOA of Ketamin was 3.09 seconds and zoletil was 5.02 seconds, while the respiration ofused ketaminwas 6 times per minute and zoletil was 6 times per minute. Statistical results of onset of action (OOA) and respiration between used ketamin and zoletil after anesthesia were no big differences (p>0.05).
