Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to examine the effectivity of marvel of peru flower (Mirabilis jalapa L.) leaves methanol extract as larvaecide against Rhipicephalus sanguineus larvae. This research used the experimental model with complete random design (RAL). The samples that used in this research was 1 kg of marvel of peru flower (Mirabilis jalapa L.) leaves and 250 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae this larvae was divided into 5 groups of treatment and each group had 5 repetitions. P0 was used as negative control group that consist of 50 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae in aquadest. P1 was used as positive control group that consist of 50 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae in 100ml / liter flumethrin solution. P2 group used 20% of marvel of peru flower leaves extract and 50 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae was put into this 20% solution. P3 group used 40% of marvel of peru flower leaves extract and 50 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae was put into this 40% solution. P4 group of 60% marvel of peru flower leaves extract and 50 Riphicephalus sanguineus larvae was put into this 60% solution. The result of this research is there was real different P1 group and other group (P2,P3,P4) (P<0.01). Based on this research the marvel of peru flower leaves extract could be used as larvacid against the Rhipicephalus sanguineus larvae.
