Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to know the comparison of worm infection of Fasciola sp. and Haemonchus contortus in Madura cattle in the village of Kraton and the village of Pejagan sub-district of Bangkalan Regency Bangkalan Province East Java. Took fresh feces sampling done at 6 cows Madura males and 30 females Madura cows in the village of Kraton and 10 cows Madura males and 74 females Madura cows in the village of Pejagan. This research was descriptive research. The research was carried out on 18 April – 2 May 2018, observations conducted Parasitology Faculty of veterinary medicine Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya University laboratory. Identification methods used is the Natif method and the method of centrifugal flotation technique. Then proceed with Mc Master method. The research results obtained 2 positive samples worm eggs of Fasciola gigantica and 1 positive samples worm egg of Haemonchus contortus on Madura cattle in the village of Kraton. While 4 positive samples worm eggs of Fasciola gigantica and 5 positive samples worms eggs of Haemonchus contortus on Madura cattle in the village of Pejagan. Inspection results show that differences in average degree of infection of Fasciola gigantica incident and Haemonchus contortus in Madura cattle in the village of Kraton and the village of Pejagan.
