Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan asap vape atau rokok elektrik dosis tinggi terhadap jaringan otak dan leukosit pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Dalam studi ini, tikus dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok yang diberi perlakuan dengan berbagai dosis asap vape selama periode tertentu. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dosis vape menyebabkan kerusakan progresif pada otak, yang terlihat dari naiknya skor nekrosis dan infiltrasi sel radang. Selain itu, meskipun jumlah leukosit sistemik tidak mengalami perubahan signifikan, infiltrasi sel radang lokal di jaringan otak meningkat secara signifikan pada dosis tertinggi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa paparan vape berpotensi menyebabkan kerusakan neuroinflamasi dan mengganggu kesehatan jaringan otak tikus, yang dapat menjadi indikator efek negatif vape pada manusia.
