Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran histopatologi paru dan jumlah neutrofil yang terpapar asap rokok elekrik dosis tinggi pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). Sebanyak 20 ekor tikus putih jantan dengan empat perlakuan yaitu P0 (kontrol), P1 (dipaparkan asap rokok elektrik dengan dosis nikotin 3,5 mg), P2 (dipaparkan asap rokok elektrik dengan dosis nikotin 7 mg), dan P3 (dipaparkan asap rokok elektrik dengan dosis nikotin 14 mg). Masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan selama 60 menit dan diobservasi selama 24 jam sebelum dilakukan nekropsi. Nekropsi dilakukan guna mengambil paru dan sedikit darah untuk pembuatan apusan darah. Lesi yang diamati adalah nekrosis dan infiltrasi sel radang, serta melihat jumlah sel neutrofil pada darah dengan menggunakan mikroskop. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tikus yang terpapar asap rokok elektrik dosis tinggi ini mengalami perubahan histopatologi berupa nekrosi, dan infiltrasi sel radang. Adapun, hasil pada apusan darah jumlah neutrofil mengalami penurunan yang signifikan seiring peningkatan dosis paparan asap
