Abstract

ABSTRACT Soedargono, Nerlieta Deviany Mantik. 2018. Slang Language In “Kingsman” Movie. Graduating paper, English Education Department. University of Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Advisor: (1) Dra Rida Wahyuningrum, MPd (2) Drs.H. Heru Wibowo, M.Pd. Keywords: Slang Languge, Type of Slang, Meaning. This study discusses the types and the meaning of using slang language in Kingsman movie directed by Matthew Vaughn, produced by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, 2015. The research question of this study is to know the types of slang and the meaning of slang in Kingsman movie. The approaches to this study was qualitative research, in this study uses Eric Patridge theory for the types and other relevant references. This study uses the movie’s scripts that initialized in the movie as the unit of analysis, then this stduy identify the types and meanings of slang. Finally, the writer hopes that this study will be useful for future the reader, especially for English’s Department student who want to know about slang.
