Abstract

Local Government Financial Statements have a function as a basis for decision making, so that the financial statements must be made in a simple manner so that they are easy to understand. However, not all stakeholders can understand accounting which is a tool to produce financial statements. Therefore, the inability to understand and interpret the report needs to be assisted by means of Financial Statement Analysis. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, to measure financial performance, several analyses are used, among others, Asset Analysis, Liability and Equity Analysis, Revenue and Expenditure Realization Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis. The results showed that Surabaya City, Malang City, Distric Malang and Batu City had good financial performance. However, each Local Government has different characteristics & policies from one another, resulting in different financial performance.
