Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of larvicide power of soursop seed (Annona muricata Linn) against Culex quinquefasciatus Say mosquito larvae. A total of 240 samples of Culex quinquefasciatus Say. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions. The six treatments were P1 (negative control) mineral air, P2 (positive control) abate (temephos) 0.1%, P3 2% soursop seed extract, 4% Soursop seed extract, P5 soursop seed extract 6%, P6 seed extract soursop 8%. Each treatment group contained 10 Culex quinquefasciatus Say larvae which recorded every 1 hour for 24 hours. The data obtained were analyzed by One Way ANOVA and Probit Test with LC50 value, when showing the real amount, then the analysis was continued with LSD (Least Significant Differences) with (p<0,01). Anova test result shows sig value 0.000 and LSD (Least Significant Differences) (p<0,01) there ware real value between treatment. From the result of research known that the average mortality of control positif (3.2400±0.0000), soursop seed extract 2% (0.8300±0.2600), soursop seed extract 4% (1.7200±0.1734), soursop seed extract 6% (2.3350±0.1715) and soursop seed extract 8% (2.7275±0.1510). Based on the probit test the LC50 value was 3.389%. Thus, the concentration of soursop seed extract 6% and 8% can be used as larvacide.
