Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of natural insecticides of pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) on flies Stomoxys calcitrans and as an alternative to chemical insecticides. The blood-sucking flies used were 240. The design used in this study was a group randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replicates. The six treatments are P0 as a negative control (given 100% distilled water), P1 (giving 20% pandan leaf juice or 20 ml of pandan leaf juice and dissolved in 80 ml of distilled water), P2 (giving 40% pandan leaf juice or 40 ml of juice and added 60 ml of distilled water), P3 (60% pandan leaf juice or 60 ml of juice and added 40 ml of distilled water), P4 (80% pandan leaf juice or 80 ml of juice and added 20 ml of distilled water), P5 (100% pandan leaf juice or 100 ml of juice). The blood-sucking flies were observed 1 hour for 24 hours. The data obtained were analyzed using One Way ANOVA test. The results showed that the feeling of pandan leaves had a strong effect on the death of blood-sucking flies, P3 with a concentration of 60% showed significantly different results compared to P1 and P2. The most effective feeling of pandan leaves in killing blood sucking flies is in P4 and P5 with a concentration of 80% and 100%.
