Abstract

IDENTIFIKASI HELMINTHIASIS PADA KUCING LIAR (Felis Catus) DENGAN METODE UJI NATIF DAN UJI APUNG DI PASAR TRADISIONAL GRESIK Leliya Dhiah Krisdamayanti ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi helminthiasis pada kucing liar dengan metode uji natif dan uji apung yang berada di pasar tradisional Gresik yaitu Pasar Krempyeng dan Pasar Baru Gresik. Sampel feses kucing diambil dari masing-masing pasar kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam kantong plastik zipper kemudian ditutup. Sampel diambil sebanyak 35 sampel, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan 35 sampel feses kucing jantan yang ditemukan positif telur helminthiasis sebanyak 17 ekor. Pada uji natif terdapat 6 (17%) sampel yang teridentifikasi positif telur Toxocara cati, dan uji apung terdapat 17 (48%) sampel teridentifikasi positif telur Toxocara cati. Kata Kunci : Toxocara cati, kucing, pasar IDENTIFICATION OF HELMINTHIASIS IN WILD CATS (Felis Catus) WITH NATIVE TEST METHODS AND FLOATING TESTS AT THE GRESIK TRADITIONAL MARKET Leliya Dhiah Krisdamayanti ABSTRACT This research was carried out to identify helminthiasis in stray cats using native and floating test methods in traditional markets in Gresik, namely Pasar Krempyeng and Pasar Baru Gresik. Cat feces samples were taken from each market then put in a plastic zipper bag and then closed. 35 samples were taken, this research is an exploratory research. Based on the results of the examination of 35 male cat feces samples, 17 of them were found to be positive for helminthiasis eggs. In the native test, 6 (17%) samples were identified as positive for Toxocara cati eggs, and in the float test, 17 (48%) individuals were identified as positive for Toxocara cati eggs.
