Abstract

Vertical concept development building use the concept of prefabricated with modular concept, one modular component that influences the speed of implementation project, especially modular steel composite plate, composite plate component of steel consists of beam and composite plate that form the interaction of structural strength to bending and shear. Modular steel composite plates need to be prepared for Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems which require openings in steel beams, on the basis of this study focused on modular optimization of castellated steel composite plates, hollow steel beam characteristics have Favorable characteristics of inertia and cross section modulus larger than the original IWF steel beam and have the ability to support a greater moment with greater stiffness. Optimization using metaheuristic OptQuest scatter search, as an alternative to search for a fast solution that ordinary optimization is solved by trial and error. Floor plates are optimized using concrete compressive strength variable (f'c), floor thickness (tc). The beam is optimized with the Castellated Beam profile table variable in Indonesian local market (produced by PT Gunung Garuda). The retaining bolt is optimized using a bolt diameter variable (Asd) and the number of sliding bolts (Nsd). The limiting function is to review the strength of bending, deflection and bolt mounting distance. In the study obtained a significant saving results of 40% for modular composite floor size of 8x6 m2 compared with the existing Rusunami project.
