Abstract
ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood sugar levels brought on by a deficiency in insulin quality, production, or both. In order to achieve the projected target blood glucose levels and limit the progression of sickness, diet continues to be the first line of ongoing effort. This study aims to determine how ashitaba extract influences blood glucose decrease. The study's subjects were healthy mice over a month old weighing 30–40 grams. The sample consisted of 30 mice in total. The One Way Anova statistical test was utilized for data analysis in this study. The outcomes demonstrated that administering Ashitaba extracts to hyperglycemic mice decreased blood glucose levels, as evidenced by a sig value of 0.004 (sig α < 0.05). Keywords: Blood glucose levels; high glucose diet; Ashitaba extract; mice.
