Abstract

ABSTRAK Kesehatan reproduksi remaja putri erat kaitannya dengan menstruasi. Siklus menstruasi normal apabila panjang siklusnya 21-35 hari. Kata kunci : tingkat stres, siklus menstruasi ABSTRACT The reproductive health of young women is closely related to menstruation. The menstrual cycle is normal if the cycle length is 21-35 days. The impact of abnormal menstrual cycles that are not treated immediately can increase various risks of reproductive system diseases such as fertility disorders, infertility, uterine polyps, uterine cancer, polylistic ovary syndrome, and ovarian cysts. One of the factors that cause menstrual cycle disorders is stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of stress levels to the menstrual cycle. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study is of SMAN 1 Suboh Situbondo students with a sample of 193 respondents was taken by simple random sampling. The independent variable is the level of stress, while the dependent variable is the menstrual cycle. The research instrument used a questionnaire and the data analyzed with a chi-square test with a degree of meaningfulness (α = 0.05). The results showed that most experience moderate levels of stress and most experience normal menstrual cycles. The results of the chi-square test were obtained P = 0.000<α = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted meaning that there was a relationship between the level of stress to the menstrual cycle in students of SMAN 1 Suboh Situbondo. It can be concluded that the level of severe stress is at risk of experiencing an abnormal menstrual cycle. For this reason, it is hoped that young women will further increase their knowledge and motivate themselves about the importance of maintaining reproductive health.
