Abstract

ABSTRACT Putri, Iin Aprianti Tri. 2022. Using Animation Video to Teach Vocabulary at Junior High School. Final Assignment: English Department, Language and Science Faculty, Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Advisor : Dra. Bekti Wirawati, M.Pd. The purpose of this study is to teach vocabulary using animation video for Junior High School students. Vocabulary cannot be separated from learning a new language. In teaching vocabulary, teachers must be able to teach in a simple, practical, and engaging way. Animation videos are deemed as an appropriate medium for education and are quite beneficial. By using animation videos to teach vocabulary, teacher can help students know the meaning. Animation videos also provides cartoon and colorful attractive images which can attract students attention. Learning vocabulary using animation videos also assistes students in memorizing words by allowing them to observe vivid scenes in the animation movie, resulting in improved vocabulary retention.
