Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the body weight profile and protein content of male alabio ducks (Anas plathycus borneo) after giving Golden Snail (Pomacea canaliculata). The research sample used 24 male Alabio ducks. The design of this study consisted of 4 treatments and 6 repetitions, namely P0 (control), P1 (given 5% golden snail in feed), P2 (given 10% golden snail) and P3 (given 15% golden snail). Body weight profile were obtained from weighing every week until the 10th week. Protein content profiles were obtained using the Kjeldal test. The data were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA Test and continued with the Duncan Test. The results showed that giving golden snail affected body weight profile and protein content. Body weight in the P3 group was 1156.67 ± 8,165 with a protein content of 65,183 ± 2,6709. Giving golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) affected body weight and protein content of Alabio male ducks. The more golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) were given, the more body weight and protein levels increased. Keywords: Alabio Ducks, golden Snail, Body Weight, Protein, Kjeldahl Test.
