Pembimbing : Prof. Soedarto, dr., DTM&H., PhD., SpPark Salah satu masalah Kesehatan yang ada di dunia saat ini adalah infeksi Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Soil Transmitted Helminths adalah salah satu kelompok agen infeksi cacing dimana penularannya melalui tanah, beberapa jenis cacing yang sering menginfeksi adalah cacing gelang (Ascaris lumbricoides), cacing cambuk (Trichuris trichiura) dan cacing tambang (Necator americanus atau Ancylostoma duodenale). Satu lagi cacing yang termasuk kedalam kelompok STH adalah cacing benang (Strongyloides stercoralis). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemberantasan dan pencegahan Soil Transmitted Helminths yang ada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Narrative Review. Sumber data berupa jurnal artikel yang diperoleh dari pencarian Google Scholar, Pubmed, dan Proquest berdasarkan topik yang telah ditentukan. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2020 sampai Juni 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan pada kriteria morfologisnya, diketahui bahwa STH yang banyak ditemukan Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Hookworm, Strongyloides dan Necaturamericanus. Ada berbagai upaya yang bisa digunakan dalam memberantas dan mencegah Soil Transmitted Helminths. Upaya pencegahan dan terapi merupakan usaha yang sangat bijaksana dalam memutus siklus penyebaran infeksinya. Pemberian obat anti cacing secara berkala setiap 6 bulan dapat pula dikerjakan. Menjaga kebersihan diri dan lingkungan serta sumber bahan pangan adalah merupakan sebagian dari usaha pencegahan untuk menghindari dari infeksi cacing. Terpenting mengenai pemberian informasi atau edukasi tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan pribadi. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan untuk melakukan penelitian terkait faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya infeksi Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Mengembangkan penelitian ini dengan jalan menambahkan pola infeksi setiap cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) is one of a group of worm infection agents where transmission is through soil, several types of worms that often infect are roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides), whipworms (Trichuris trichiura) and hookworms (Necator americanus or Ancylostoma duodenale). Another worm that belongs to the STH group is the thread worm (Strongyloides stercoralis). This study aims to determine the eradication and prevention of Soil Transmitted Helminths in Indonesia. This research is a Systemic Literature Review (SLR) research. The data source is in the form of journal articles obtained from Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Proquest searches based on predetermined topics. The literature search was carried out from December 2020 to June 2021. The results showed that based on the morphological criteria, it was known that the most common STH found was Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Hookworm, Strongyloides and Necaturamericanus. There are various efforts that can be used in eradicating and preventing Soil Transmitted Helminths. Prevention and therapy efforts are very wise efforts in breaking the cycle of spreading the infection. Provision of anti-worm medicine periodically every 6 months can also be done. Maintaining personal and environmental hygiene as well as food sources is part of the prevention efforts to avoid worm infection. The most important thing is providing information or education about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene. Further research is expected to conduct research related to the factors that influence the occurrence of Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) infection.
